The Special TADA court trying the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case on Wednesday convicted three persons connected to Sanjay Dutt8212;two of them for supplying arms and ammunition to the actor at his residence, and the third for keeping a weapon, allegedly owned by Dutt.

Judge PD Kode held that those who had supplied the weapons8212;Abu Salem aide Ibrahim Musa Chauhan and proprietor of Magnum Videos Sameer Hingora8212;were guilty under TADA. But the judge dropped the TADA charges against Rusi Mulla, accused of being in possession of a 9-mm pistol, which allegedly belonged to Dutt and was handed over to him by Kersi Adajenia. Mulla was convicted under the Arms Act. Adajenia had destroyed the AK-56 rifle supplied to Dutt, but couldn8217;t dispose of the pistol as he had to rush to Kolkata. Judge Kode did not accept Mulla8217;s defence that he was not present at home when Adajenia gave the box containing the pistol to his wife.

Judge Kode convicted Sameer Hingora for supplying three AK-56 rifles, ammunition and grenades to Dutt8217;s residence at the instance of Anees Ibrahim.
