
MUMBAI, SEPT 28: The Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar has returned to the batting crease after almost a month-long lay-off. The 26-year-old champion batsman, who underwent treatment for his sore back, was at the Wankhede Stadium and practiced at the nets with his Mumbai team-mates Amol Muzumdar and Nilesh Kulkarni.
8220;He appeared quite trim and showed no signs of any back trouble during his two-hour stint in the nets,8221; remarked a Mumbai Cricket Associaton MCA official.
Dr Anant Joshi, who accompanied Tendulkar to the Adelaide Australian Cricket Academy earlier said the batting maestro had completed the three-week rehabilitation course and is fit to resume his cricketing activities. 8220;I will be consulting him tomorrow to know how he felt while batting at the nets today,8221; informed Dr Joshi while speaking to The Indian Express this evening.
