ADELAIDE, JAN 31: South Africa rallied around a soul-searching unbeaten 87 from Brian McMillan to bat themselves to strong position in the third and final cricket Test against Australia today.Resuming on 269 for four, South Africa collapsed to 305 for seven and were eventually bowled out for 517.

McMillan anchored the South African lower order while the rest made damaging contributions. Shaun Pollock hammered 40 off 67 balls, Lance Klusener a forceful 38 off 59 and No. 11 Pat Symcox a swashbuckling 54 off just 42 balls.
