Reliance Power, which disappointed investors with a poor debut on Monday, sank further and closed 4.8 per cent lower at Rs 354.55. It had lost as much as 17 per cent (when compared to the offer price of Rs 450) on Monday as valuation concerns and global market turmoil dented demand following its Rs 11,700 crore IPO, the country’s largest. Reliance Energy, which holds 45 per cent in RPower, fell 2.9 per cent to Rs 1,535.75, extending its losses of more than 19 per cent on Monday after its affiliate made a chaotic market debut.
