Congress President Sonia Gandhi took serious exception to the inclusion of Robert Vadra in the list of VVIPs who are granted hassle-free immigration clearance. Vadra was the only one included by name, while the rest of the VIPs were listed by designation: cabinet ministers, cabinet secretary, etc. Sonia insisted the beneficiaries should be listed as spouses of those protected by the SPG. The Prime Minister8217;s Office immediately set out to find who had put Vadra8217;s name on paper, and thereby caused the family embarrassment. This has led to the Home Secretary8217;s office and a much needed rectification is being made.
