Narain Karthikeyan is so enraged with former world champion Jacques Villeneuve, who accused the Indian of blocking his way in the European Formula One Grand Prix, that he says he would not mind repeating his act in future if needed, media reports said here today.

Canadian Villeneuve had confronted Karthikeyan after the European Grand Prix, accusing India8217;s first F-1 driver of blocking him.

Karthikeyan insisted he did nothing wrong and would not mind doing the same again if required.

8220;I didn8217;t block 8212; maybe once on a straight 8212; but he thought differently. I was angry,8221; the 28-year-old Jordan driver was quoted as saying by the local media.

8220;You don8217;t expect him to confront like that. We8217;ll see. I8217;m here to race and I8217;ll do the same next time.8221;

Karthikeyan justified his tactics in the race where he finished 16th, three places behind the 1997 world champion Villeneuve, whose best performance this season was fourth at the San Marino GP.

8220;You need to race, especially if you have half a chance,8221; the Indian said.

8220;Villeneuve8217;s car wasn8217;t two seconds faster than mine. I thought I was doing the right thing and I still think so.8221; Karthikeyan, however, suggested that he and Villeneuve should talk it over now.

Ferrari confident

Meanwhile, Ferrari, are looking to register their first win of the season in the eighth race of the F1 calendar. Though the Scuderia team have had their worst ever start to the championship in a decade, they are confident about their chances at Montreal, a circuit where they have an impeccable record.

Both Ferrari drivers, Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello are confident of a podium finish at Montreal. The confidence and the drive in their last showing at the European Grand Prix has also been a shot in the arm for the scarlet cars. Michael is a seven-time winner on the circuit with brother Ralf being the only other driver in 2005 line up to have won the Canadian Grand Prix.
