NEW DELHI, Oct 29: The Rashtriya Loktantrik Morcha today took serious objection to the harassment and humiliation of its leader Laloo Prasad Yadav by the CBI “on the directions of the BJP”.

Samajwadi Party chief and RLM leader Mulayam Singh Yadav told media persons that the “fascist conspiracy” against Yadav hatched by the BJP had been exposed. “We will do all we can to teach the BJP a lesson in the coming elections,” he said.

Laloo Yadav was being harassed by the Central Bureau of Investigation by grilling him non-stop for seven hours though there was not a shred of direct evidence against him in the fodder scandal. This was being done only with the aim of demoralising RLM workers, he said.

The CBI had raided the residence of Laloo Yadav in connection with the case but had found nothing incriminating against him. “While Laloo is being jailed Sukh Ram who helps run a BJP government in Himachal Pradesh has gone scot-free. Everybody knows how much money had been recovered from Sukh Ram,” Mulayamsaid.

When reminded that Laloo was first jailed in the fodder scam when the United Front government was in office, he said that even then he had protested against the action taken against him. Mulayam was Defence Minister in the UF government.
