Return receipt counters to remain open till 8 pm

Keeping in view of the income tax assesses, the Income Tax department has decided that the return receipt counters will remain open from 9.30 a.m to 8 p.m on Tuesday.

It needs to be mentioned that Tuesday is the last date of income tax returns for corporate assessee and all other assesses whose accounts are required to be audited under 44AB of the Income Tax Act 1961m according to a release issued by B.R Kaushal and Vijay Sharma, president and general secretary, respectively, of the Taxation Bar Association.
