Perhaps Dr P Venugopal is finally seeing a future without the spectre of Anbumani Ramadoss. He retires as director of AIIMS next month and offers are already pouring in from private organisations. However, the world renowned cardiologist seems to have made up his mind that he is going to start something of his own. The new venture, according to Venugopal, will be for a charitable trust. AIIMS staffers feel that the veteran will join Sathya Sai Baba hospital in Bangalore, where he once worked. It also appears that Venugopal will play the Pied Piper, the band that supported him in fight against the Health Minister following him.
