CHANDIGARH, MAY 15: The Golden Arrow white water rafting expedition on the River Ganges organised by the Jat Balwan Field Artillery Regiment was was flagged-in at Rishikesh by its commanding officer, Col V.V. Raghavan on May 14. According to information received here, the expedition, which started from Koteshwar near Rudraprayag in the Garhwal Region on May 10, covered a distance of 150 kms before culminating at Rishkesh. The expedition had to negotiating about 50 rapids. The 34-member team led by Capt Vikrant Jain, included Lt Rohit Yadav, 2 JCOs and 30 other ranks. Congratulating the team members on the successful culmination of their high adventure, the General Officer Commanding Golden Arrow Division, Major General, K.C. Padha prasied the spirit of courage and strength of the rafters.
