CALCUTTA: Stage is set for the trial of the seven accused of the Purulia armsdrop case as the Calcutta High Court today rejected their prayer for quashing of charges framed against them by a city sessions court.

Lottery ban

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court today issued a notice to the Union Government on a petition challenging an ordinance issued by the Centre banning lotteries all over the country and a subsequent Home Ministry order banning sale of lottery tickets in the Capital.
