
BSE revamps A group shares
MUMBAI: In a major step towards boosting trading volumes, the Bombay Stock Exchange authorities have reshuffled the A8217; group shares by including 27 new scrips and dropping 26 scrips from the existing list. The changes will take effect from settlement No 26 beginning September 14, 1999. BSE president Anand Rathi told newspersons that reshuffling was necessitated to impart the facility of carry-forward8217; to more liquid scrips.
Ultras kill jawans
SRINAGAR: On the eve of Independence Day, militants today attacked security forces at four different places across the Valley, killing seven soldiers and injuring 15. In a dozen attacks since August 6, the security forces have lost 29 personnel including a Colonel and a Marine officer. Most of these attacks were carried out in Kupwara.
