New submarines

LONDON: India plans to go on a defence shopping spree, acquiring six aircraft and three frigates worth 1.2 billion dollars, and build modern submarines to strengthen the country8217;s Navy, the Defence News weekly said. It quoted Naval chief Admiral Sushil Kumar as saying that two submarines will be built at the Mazgaon docks in Mumbai.
