MUMBAI: The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Friday passed a resolution to bring the services of Secondary, Higher Secondary and Junior College teachers associated with the SSC and HSC examinations within the purview of Maharashtra Maintenance of Essential Services Ordinance for six months.
Niger President assassinated
BURKINA FASO: Niger President Ibrahim Bare Mainassara was assassinated by members of his personal security guard, US officials said in Washington on Friday. Word of the assassination came as troops reportedly swarmed on the streets of Niger8217;s capital, Niamey. The country8217;s prime minister said in a televised address that the national assembly had been dissolved and all political activity had been suspended.
