
No photocopiers near exam centres
NEW DELHI: Delhi Police today announced several measures including ban on use of photocopiers outside examination venues to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the forthcoming Class X and Class XII examinations in the capital. The measures include prohibition on carrying of arms and other materials, capable of being used for causing physical violence, within 200 metres of the boundary of any exam centre.

LUCKNOW: In a surprise raid, police has recovered four mobile phones, cash and foreign literature on firearms from the district jail premises here. During the raid yesterday, police also recovered a register containing the names of the jail staff on the pay rolls8217; of the criminals.

Yeltsin hospitalised
MOSCOW: Russian President Boris Yeltsin has been admitted to hospital again following an examination of his stomach ulcer, even as his Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov flew to black sea resort of Sochi for a ten-day holiday, signalling Yeltsin8217;s state of health was not serious. In January, he was treated for acute bleeding of stomach ulcer for two weeks.
