Agro meet nets huge investments

MUMBAI: The Agro-Advantage Maharashtra convention-cum-exhibition proposes to attract investment worth over Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 crore, according to State Agriculture Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil. The minister told reporters on the concluding day of the conference that potential agro investment till Monday is to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore.

BSE8217;s VP resigns

MUMBAI: The Bombay Stock Exchange BSE governing board has accepted the resignation of Vice President, Rajendra Banthia, who has stepped down from office following serious charges of share price manipulation levelled against him by the SEBI. Banthia8217;s firm Harvest Deal Securities and 18 other brokers were accused of rigging the share prices of BPL, Videocon and Sterlite.
