Dropsy claims three more

NEW DELHI: Three more people succumbed to dropsy in the national Capital today taking the number of fatalities to 44 while over 100 fresh cases were reported in north India even as Jammu and Kashmir banned the sale of mustard oil. As many as 118 people with symptoms of dropsy were admitted to hospitals in Delhi since last evening.

VADODARA: The members of Baroda Union of Teachers Association BUTA have decided to go on a token hunger strike on September 4 here as a part of their indefinite strike. BUTA president N M Bhatt had held the meeting of its members and briefed the teachers of the programmes of their strike. Meanwhile, the strike today entered its 23 rd day.
