Harish Mahindra passes away
MUMBAI: Harish Mahindra, chairman of Mahindra Ugine Steel Co. Ltd., and Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd, passed away after a protracted illness, here yesterday. Born in Calcutta in 1923, Mahindra was one of the earliest Indian graduates from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he received his bachelor8217;s degree in 1946. He began his career in Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., which has been established by his father Jagdish Mahindra and uncle Kailash Mahindra. SC/ST promotions
