PANCHKULA, Oct 16: A case has been registered against an SDO of Haryana Urban Development Authority HUDA Public Works Department for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from a contractor.
The case was registered under the Corruption Act against N K Garg, an SDO with PWD, Buildings and Roads HUDA for allegedly accepting the huge bribe from a contractor Gautum, according to police sources.
The SDO allegedly demanded money from the contractor on the assurance that he would grant the contractor a tender in his name.
