A musical extravaganza was organised under the banner of Virasat - 2008 by the Ludhiana chapter of SPICMACAY at Master Tara Singh Memorial College for Women here today.The Saraswati Vandana recited by the college students was spell-binding. The chief guest on the occasion, Purbayan Chatterjee, a renowned sitarist from Kolkata, further mesmerized the audience with some soulful musical performances.While sharing his experiences as a sitarist with the audience, he said his hardwork and unstoppable belief in fate had helped him reach the zenith of his career.Accompanying him on tabla was Akram Khan, who also won the hearts of the audience. The principal of the college, Surinder Atwal welcomed the guests and thanked the organisers of the show and the staff members, especially Swaranjit Kaur and Harminder Kaur, for their untiring efforts.
