Guidance for defence retirees
A meeting of all retired officers, junior commissioned officers and other ranks of the Army, Navy and Air Force settled in Pune district will be held at the District Industries Centre in Agriculture College campus on Thursday at 2.30 p.m. to guide all those who are not employed anywhere and who want to start their own business or industry.
The speakers will include Maj. A V Natu retd., Capt. H N Deshmukh retd., Subhedar Dalbhajan retd. former Navy engineer Anant Samant and Anusuya Gawade.
British Council logo contest
The British Council has organised a logo competition on the occasion of the 50 years of India8217;s independence.
The competition is open to people belonging to the age-group of 20 to 50 years. The logo should symbolise the British Council8217;s creative partnership between Britain and India for half a century. The selected logo will be used on all types of stationery and promotional material.
The winner of the contest will win a free trip to U.K. The best 20-25 entries will be developed into a touring exhibition within the country and possibly abroad. May 5 is the last date of receipt of entries. Entry forms and details can be had from the British Library, Fergusson College Road.
