Water closure on Thursday
Water supply to Hadapsar, Koregaon Park, Maharashtra Housing Board, Yerawada and all other areas being fed water from the Pune Cantonment water works, will remain closed on Thursday from 11 a.m. onwards.

The other areas to be affected include Pune station area, Sassoon Hospital, Pune-Solapur Road, Jail Road, Nagar Road, Alandi Road, Mundhawa, Satavwadi, Mahadevnagar, Keshavnagar, Kondhwa Khurd, Kondhwa Budruk, Wanowrie, Fatimanagar, Kalas, Dhanori, Vidyanagar, Eaktanagar, Tingrenagar, Navi Khadki, Wadgaonsheri, Chandannagar and Kharadi. Water supply will be restored on Friday morning.

Woman, kid set ablaze
Vitthal Sonavane 31 of Landge Vasti area in Bhosari was on Monday arrested on charges of murdering his wife Deepa 31 and five-year-old daughter Kiran by setting them afire.

Suspecting Deepa8217;s fidelity, Vitthal allegedly set her afire alongwith Kiran at their residence on June 5. He then walked out leaving their house locked to ensure that nobody rescues them, Deputy Commissioner of Police Uddhav Kamble said. Alerted by the cries by the victims, some neighbours rescued them, he added. Deepa and Kiran were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were proclaimed dead on arrival.

The incident had initially gone as a case of accidental death in the records of the Bhosari police.
