The language papers of the SSC exams scheduled in the afternoon session on March 16 and 17 have been rescheduled.

The paper to be held on March 17, will now be taken on March 26 from 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Similarly, the exam scheduled for March 16 afternoon will be held on March 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

No other changes have been made in the SSC time-table, said R D Thorat, secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and HIgher Secondary Education in a press released here today.

The Patit Pawan Sanghatana PPS has threatened to launch an agitation if the Pune Municipal Corporation did not reduce the length and height of the divider on Fergusson College road.

In a letter to Municipal Commissioner Rajiv Agarwal, the PPS has said the divider from Goodluck chowk to Fergusson College was an inconvenience to citizens and was resulting in traffic jams during peak hours. It has suggested that traffic could be controlled by installing signals instead of constructing long and high dividers.

Thube probe
District Collector Vijaykumar Gautam has ordered an inquiry against Haveli tehsildar D A Thube, suspended last month for his alleged involvement in large-scale irregularities. Sources said Thube had passed 199 orders transferring land ownership at Mauje Vadhu and Mauje Kolwadi where the land ownership could not be under the Rehabilitation Act without the consent of the district collector.
