City traffic re-routed for Shiv Jayanti
Vehicular traffic on various arterial roads to be used as the routes of processions on account of Shiv Jayanti will be diverted on Tuesday. The roads to be closed for traffic include Laxmi Road, Shivaji Road and Sachapir Street.

The main procession will start from Bhavani Mata Temple in Bhavani Peth at 2 pm. It will go to Shaniwarwada via Old Motor Stand, Pudumjee Park Police Chowkey, Bharat Cinema Hall, AD Camp Chowk, Sant Kabir Chowk, Laxmi Road, Sonya Maruti Chowk, Fadke Haud Chowk, Jijamata Chowk and Shivaji Road.

A separate procession will be taken out from Khanya Maruti Chowk in Pune Cantonment to the Kotwal Chawdi. It will go via Pulgate Police Chowkey, Mukti Fauj Chowk, Gai Kasai Masjid, Bhople Chowk, Centre Street Police Chowkey and Sachapir Street.

The Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Trust will take out a procession from Kotwal Chawdi. It will proceed via Rameshwar Chowk, Tilak Statue, Shanipar Chowk, Chitale Corner, Phadtare Chowk, Kunte Chowk, Seva Sadan Chowk, Appa Balvant Chowk, Futka Buruj Chowk, Jijamata Chowk, Budhwar Chowk, Belbaug Chowk and Kotwal Chavdi.

Traffic on these procession routes will be diverted from 2.30 pm. Vehicular parking will also be banned in 100 feet vicinity of the procession routes.
