Chandigarh, March 24: The modes of distance education are fast changing due to rapid advancement in information technology which would enable broader coverage of the population of needy students.

This was stated by Prof I.B.S. Passi, Dean University Instructions, Panjab University, while presiding over the annual prize distribution function of the Department of Correspondence Studies. He gave away the prizes to various university exam toppers and winners of competitions held today.
