Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad hailed Shahid Afridi8217;s men for their superb show against West Indies in their World Cup quarterfinal but warned them of the tougher challenges ahead. 8221; Whoever among India or Australia win,it will prove to be a much tougher opponent than West Indies,8221; Miandad said. 8220;We need to do a detailed homework on our opponents as well. If India makes it to the semis then we need to rethink our bowling combination for sure,8221; Miandad said.

Sachin declines degree
Mysore:
Sachin Tendulkar will not travel to Mysore on April 10 to accept the honorary doctorate to be conferred to him by the University of Mysore at its anuual convocation. In a letter to Vice-Chancellor of the University,Prof V G Talwar,Tendulkar8217;s wife Anjali Tendulkar wrote 8220;It is a great honour to be appreciated for his contributions in the field of cricket. Unfortunately,he has made a decision not to accept any honorary doctorate while he is still active playing for India.8221;
