Nepal is currently passing through a phase of major challenge and there is need for other countries to help it overcome this phase,the United States said on Friday.
“Nepal is going through some major challenges,” State Department Deputy Spokesman Robert Wood told reporters at a news conference.
“It’s important for the countries of the region,the United States,and others to try to do what we can to help Nepal where we can,” he said,adding that “they are going through a very difficult moment.”
The State Department spokesman was responding to a question about the latest development in Nepal wherein the leader of the Communist Party of Nepal,Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ declared the Nepalese capital Kathmandu as the autonomous province of the country.
