Nelson to host first ODI

The Saxton Oval in Nelson,which will host three matches in the 2015 Cricket World Cup,

Nelson is set to host its first ever ODI match when the West Indies cruise into New Zealand in December-January for three Tests,five ODIs and two T20s. The Saxton Oval in Nelson,which will host three matches in the 2015 Cricket World Cup,will host the fourth ODI of a five match series on 4th January next year. The West Indies begin their tour with 3 Tests in Dunedin,Wellington and Hamilton,followed by the 5 ODIs and 2 T20s.

Cummins injured again

Young Australia fast bowler Pat Cummins has suffered a new setback to his injury-plagued cricket career,quitting the Australia A teams tour of South Africa with back pain. The 20-year-old Cummins has missed the last two Australian domestic seasons with back and foot injuries and has played only six first class matches in three years. Australia A physiotherapist Kevin Sims said Cummins had reported rib and back pain during Australias game against India A and had returned home for assessment.
