Will.i.am is singing out in movie theatres for Oprah Winfreys new cable venture. Starting Friday,a song written by the Black Eyed Peas member will be heard as part of nationwide theatre advertising for the OWN channel. The song,titled Own It,is part of the new channels marketing campaign and will be the theme song for a talent show on OWN. Winfreys cable network will launch on January 1. Its full name is OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
Reese Witherspoon has been saluted with a star on Hollywood Boulevard. The Walk the Line actress unveiled her Hollywood Walk of Fame honour on Wednesday outside the W Hollywood Hotel. Its the 2,425th star dedicated on the celebrated avenue. The ceremony was designed to coincide with the December 7 release of Witherspoons latest movie,How Do You Know,co-starring Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson,and written and directed by James L. Brooks.
Angelina Jolie defended a film she is directing about a love story set during the Bosnian war from criticism,saying she did not intend to cause controversy and most Bosnians supported the project,Reuters reported. Jolie,who is making her directorial debut on the film,about a romance between a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman,recently shot portions in Bosnia. Her permit to film there was briefly cancelled amid an outcry from the Bosnias Women Victims of War Association.
