Having sounded the board in the match against Germany on Sunday,Dutch captain Teun de Nooijer achieved the feat of scoring in five World Cups. The 34-year-old Nooijer matched the record of compatriot Ties Kruize,who had scored in every Cup between 1973 and 1986.

The India versus South Africa match on Monday witnessed the lowest attendance,barely 15,000,in a match that featured the home team. Clearly,the performance of the team has taken a toll on crowd interest. In the non-India matches,its the security personnel who make up the numbers. Only one foreign team seems to have a loyal following: The Netherlands.
