2 BJP men under scanner

The CBI is scrutinising Masoods call details and also examined many acquaintances.

A special CBI team camping in Bhopal to investigate the murder of RTI activist Shehla Masood is examining the role of two senior BJP politicians and an IPS officer whose names figured during the Bhopal police probe.

CBI sources said the roles of the two BJP leaders,including an MP,needed to be probed. An IPS officers role is also being examined.

Masood was shot dead when she was going towards her car outside her residence in posh Koh-e-Fiza locality in Bhopal on August 16.

The case has now been taken over by CBIs Delhi-based unit as it has better resources,manpower and facilities,CBI sources said. The agency announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh in September for anyone providing credible information.

The investigators are also looking for the murder weapon.

The CBI is also seeking public help using Facebook. People can also share information about other crimes. Our Bhopal unit is on Facebook. People can share any information which they feel can be of some use to CBI. If it is found encouraging,we may plan the same for other units too, said a CBI official.
