Pepsi: Kerala studying complaint

The Kerala Ground Water Authority is examining complaints regarding over-exploitation of groundwater by Pepsi at Puthussery in Palakkad.

The Kerala Ground Water Authority is examining complaints regarding over-exploitation of groundwater by Pepsi at Puthussery in Palakkad. The state Government will take steps to curb over exploitation of groundwater after getting the report from the Authority, Water Resources Minister N K Premachandran told the Assembly on Thursday.

The Authority was asked to conduct the study on the basis of findings that Pepsi was drawing more groundwater than it was allowed to.
