PCMC pip Priyardarshini 3-2

PUNE, April 27: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation pipped Priyardrashini Sports Center PSC B8217; 3-2 while 512 Armybase Workshop and Goodwill Sports Club scored emphatic wins in the Dr SWV Ferdrick Junior Hockey tournament, at the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation polygras stadium here today.The 512 Armybase Workshop pulped the eight-member Wadia XI 7-1, Goodwill scored half-a-dozen goals against Vande Mataram 6-0.

PCMC scored all the goals in the first session of play. Tayun Shaikh 1st, Ganesh Landge 9th and Somanath Choudhary 15th were the scorers. Vineet Nimal and Salim Shaikh reduced the margin for Priyardarshini Sports Centre.

Prem Urde made most of it against an eight-member Wadia XI team scoring three goals. He scored in the 20th, 47th, and 59th minutes of play. DB Pawar 13th, Ravi Rawat 24th and Ashok Uttekar 50th were the other goal getters for 512 Armybase Workshop. Mangesh Shinde scored the lone goal for Wadians. Vishnu Naidu put the Goodwill 2-0 up in the first seven minutes of play and then added one more to his name in the Goodwill Sports Club8217;s 6-0 win over Vande Mataram. Gunashekeran Tambi 15th, Sikander Jaffer 45th and Satish Gaikwad 47th were the other goal getters for Goodwill.
