
Steel minister Ram Vilas Paswan has expressed hope that the country8217;s biggest FDI project8212;Korean steel giant Posco8217;s steel plant8212;will commence construction by April next year. The minister said that the Centre has done everything it had to for the project and if it gets delayed further then it is the state government which is to blame.
8220;There is nothing from our side that is withholding the Posco project. We have assured that we would do whatever is needed to be done on our part,8221; Paswan said.
Steel secretary R S Pandey said Posco will begin construction of its plant in April next year and commence production two years later, adding that the steel giant will have to iron out issues with the Orissa government to expedite implementation of the project.
