
PANCHKULA, May 23: Parents of school children are being exploited by various private school managements. This was stated by Mukesh Kumar Jindal, president of Rashtriya Abhibhavak Sangh, a local non-political association of parents of school children, working to check the malpractice present in these schools.
The association has also put forward a charter of demands to the administration. These include the demand that there should be no interviews of parents and children for admission to pre-primary classes in various private schools situated in Panchkula, Chandigarh and Mohali.
It has also been demanded that the various fees being charged each year under different names should also be banned.
In addition, a committee of experts should be framed to select text books so that same kind of text books may be followed by various schools situated in the region.
