CHANDIGARH, Dec 17: The Chandigarh Administration today constituted the State Executive Committee for Equal Opportunities, Protection of Human Rights and full participation under the Disabilities Act, 1955, with UT Finance-cum-Social Welfare Secretary G. Vajralingam as its chairman.

The senior vice-president of the Society for the Care of the Blind, Major General retd Rajinder Nath, Nivedac Prosthetic Centre director, V.J.S. Vohra and National Commission for the Disabled member Akhil Gautam are among the members of the committee, as per a release.Ex officio members of the committee include the Chief Architect and secretary, Urban Development; commissioner, Municipal Corporation; deputy commisssioner-cum-estate officer; joint secretary, Finance; chief executive officer, and director, Health Services, UT.
