Pandemonium in KMC

KOLHAPUR, Sept 21: Heated exchanges between the members and the deputy municipal commissioner over alleged dilly-dallying in inquiries in bogus water connections and theft of medicines and dispensary equipment from the civic stores dominated the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation general body meeting on Monday.

Deputy commissioner Subhash Jadhav later ordered to seal the civic medicine store and assure suspension of the guilty. Earlier, members took to task the civic administration for it turning Nelson8217;s eye towards the misdeeds of the officials concerned.

Corporator Bhupal Shete had raised the issue of alleged thefts of saline bottles and bed sheets from the civic store, alleged corruption in recovery of Ra Ma anti-encroachment fee and water connections using bogus documents.
