Pak situation alarms India, says Pranab Mukherjee

As twin blasts rocked Pakistan, India on Tuesday said it was worried over the situation there and expressed the hope that the new government will be able to restore normalcy.

8220;We are worried over it,8221; External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters when asked to comment on the situation in Pakistan in the wake of latest blasts.

He expressed the hope that the new government in Pakistan would be in a position to restore normalcy and 8220;the fight against terror launched by the government would be further strengthened.8221;

At least 26 people were killed and over 170 injured in two massive suicide car bombings in Lahore that destroyed the federal headquarters of Pakistan8217;s premier probe agency and a house near PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari8217;s residence.
