Paint on, Gurl!

Not getting the kind of push she needed at an early age, Simran decided to take up science in junior college. But she soon realized that she wasn8217;t cut out for chemistry formulas and dissecting earthworms. Like most lost teenagers, she wiled away her time and flunked her first year.

Finally, last year, she decided to do what she wanted for a very long time 8211; she applied to MSU Baroda and the Delhi College of Art. And on both accounts, she was rejected! Why? 8216;Coz according to the colleges she was educating herself by correspondence!?!?

Enraged, this young woman came back and painted her first exhibition. 8220;I8217;ll make the colleges regret when I become famous and start earning pots of money,8221; says the fiery 21-year-old. A never-say-die attitude is her outstanding feature, besides the oodles of talent displayed in her first ever exhibit, showing at Art Plaza even as you read this!!
