
Leander Paes and his Czech Republic partner Martin Damm recorded their 22nd win of the year to reach the quarter finals of the Cincinnati Open Western 038; Southern Financial Group Masters. On Wednesday, Paes/ Damm 8211; seeded No 7 8211; took an hour and six minutes to show Pavel Vizner/ Lukas Dloughy Czech Republic the door.
Playing their 15th tournament on the ATP Doubles Tour the Indo-Czech pair, currently No. 6 in the team rankings, thus made it to their ninth quarter final of the year. The pair who currently find themselves behind the Bryan brothers,Jonas Bjorkman/ Max Mirnyi, Paul Hanley/ Kevin Ullyett, Mark Knowles/Danbiel Nestor, Fabrice Santoro/ Nenad Zimonjic in the doubles race for the year-end championship were in no mood to compromise winning 60 of the 102 points contested while registering a 6-3, 6-2 win.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhupathi and Justin Gimelstob won 7-5, 4-6, 11-9 against Czech pair of Jaroslav Levinsky and Tomas Berych.
