Previously touring with the group Steps, Lolly8217;s first solo song saw her hit the big time. And she is determined to see it get bigger. For those who don8217;t have an ear for Western pop, a host of desi popstarsare making their debut with three new Magnasound releases. There is Ash Chandler8217;s Husn, an eight-track pop album that quot;amalgamates various streams of the pop genre with musical as well as lyrical varietyquot;. From Arabian and Salsa tunes to reggae beats and ballads, this club singer and stand-up comic from Los Angeles promises an album full of feel-good music. The second singer is Devinder Khannewala, already a leading lyricist in Punjab. He makes his singing debut with Nachde Ne Saare, a collection of foot-tapping Bhangra numbers 8212; an assorted medley of romantic songs with one patriotic number. Devinder8217;s inspiration is none other than Gurdas Maan 8212; the Bhangra King himself, who encouraged Devinder to enter the industry. A video for the title track is also on the cards, featuring the model Kahkashan, previously seen in Bhupi8217;s Jogiya Khali Bali8217;. For 21-year-old Shail, the third debutant, the big break came when ace composer Biddu decided to compose and arrange the eight tracks for his album Hello afterhearing the quot;freshnessquot; of his voice. Shail8217;s music is meant for quot;the young at heartquot; what with his quot;utterly romantic and highly danceablequot; tunes. Three videos from the album have already been shot in Switzerland, with Saroj Khan8217;s choreography and Kunal Kohli8217;s direction. What8217;s more, two of the videos star none other than teen sensation Riya Sen. Eye candy with musical melody to boot!

Feel fit

Fitness freaks have a chance to get it straight from the expert8217;s mouth this week. Carol Argo, the fitness specialist from America, will be in town to conduct workshops on the latest in water and land exercise.
