Net gains

Fed-up of staring at your text-books? Well, take a break and head for the computer instead. Now you have an educational channel on the net which allows you to go through your syllabus at the click of a mouse button. Last week, Rediff-on-the-Net launched their special education site to aid I.C.S.E students. Students can get model papers for English, mathematics, geography, history and science along with an online grading system. On submitting the solved papers, students will also get instant feedback on their performance.Besides, the site gives useful pointers and tips that students could use to improve their academic performances. What8217;s more, there8217;s an Online Chat Forum that enables teachers and students to interact with each other on subject-related issues. The education directory facilitates access to several education sites as well as a wider collection of education books that can be purchased online.

Next on Rediff8217;s agenda are home pages for schools, online counselling services aswell as solved CBSE, SAT, and GRE papers. And hopefully, if the good work continues, who knows, you could actually do without schools and still get an education.
