CHANDIGARH, April 16: Only only two players, including one local, have so far reported for the Chandigarh hockey conditioning camp which began at the Sector 42 Hockey Stadium here yesterday. The delay in reporting for camp is stated to be due `communication gap’. The information to the concerned players has been received late.

For the Chandigarh camp, 11 players were asked by the Indian Hockey Federation to report on April 15. Sukhbir Singh Grewal has been directed to attend the Chandigarh camp as he is appearing for his annual examinations from the Panjab University.

The authorities expect all the remaining players to join the camp tonight.Those invited to the Chandigarh camp are: Rajinder Singh (Punjab and Sind Bank), John Minz (Services), Ramandeep Singh (Punjab Police), Shamshul Juha (Uttar Pradesh), Baljit Singh Dhillon (Punjab Police), Sarabjit Singh (Punjab), Ajit Pal Singh (Universities), Iqbal Singh (Bengal), Harbhajan Singh (BSF), Jalan Topno (CRPF) and Sukhbir Singh Grewal (Chandigarh). Coach: Satinder Singh.

The IHF has selected 73 players for the camps which also began at Patiala, Amritsar, Rampur and Bangalore. The camps will continue till April 30.
