Only three applicants for registrar8217;s post

VADODARA, May 11: Only three applicants have responded to an advertisement issued by M S University for the post of the registrar, which becomes vacant around the beginning of June. The last date for filing applications was May 8.

One of the three applicants is an auditor; another is a retired colonel, while the third is an educationist. According to sources, there was little chance of the first two being considered seriously for the post.

The university issued the advertisement in early April in the hope that the post would be occupied by the beginning of the new academic session.

Registrar D P Chayya put in his papers for voluntary retirement about a year ago; however, they were accepted only six months ago.
