Feast yourselves on two new sites: one dedicated to branded footwear, the other to cricket
For all shoe-lovers who have felt their juices stir at the sight of a shapely heel (in a shoe), but have shirked the tedium of shopping, this site is a must visit. Bigshoebazaar.com, India’s first and only online shoe store, opens up a world of footwear spanning 32 brands and catering to men, women and children.
“This site is the only one dedicated to footwear and features like multi-angle viewing and zoom set it apart from other online shopping portals while enhancing the experience of online buyers,” says Danish Ahmed, CEO, Bigshoebazaar, who started the online store after selling the extra stock in his father’s shoe company on Rediff.com. “Shoes sell well on the Internet as people are very brand conscious. So once I sold off the extra stock, it triggered the idea for an online shoe store selling branded shoes in India,” he adds.
The site features everything from Lee Cooper, Puma, Nike, Valentino and Woodland to Red Tape, Renaldi, Verona and Reebok. It is set to add 16 more brands over the next two months and 30 more by year-end. “We will incorporate more brands, including Franco Leone, Carlo Pinni, Adidas and Disney, among others,” says Ahmed.
The brands on Bigshoebazaar, which follow BATA standard sizing, are delivered within four days and come with a 100-day replacement guarantee. “We give the customer a quick size exchange and free return shipping service in case of a misfit,” says Ahmed, who also gives his customers a refund with discount coupons if the replacement size is not available.
While the accepted modes of payment include credit card, cash on delivery, Paypal, cheques/DD, netbanking, ITZ cash card and mobile payment, home delivery is free across Indian cities except in case of ‘cash on delivery’ payment, which has an extra charge. Shoe shopping just got better.
