The new magazine focused on foreign policy, India & Global Affairs, launched by the Prime Minister last month claims to have won itself quite a clientele with its first issue. The word out is that it must thank Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel for this. The magazine, published by Pratap Pawar’s Sakal group, has bagged a surprise deal with not one but three big airlines. Jet Airways and Kingfisher have already placed orders while Air India is running it through its red tape before formally booking its copies. In all, the three airlines will pick up 10,000 copies at Rs 300 each. This is a substantial order given that the quarterly magazine launched with a print run of 35,000.
