Makhaya Ntini, the big Black icon of South African cricket, is gearing up for his benefit year 8212; with some help from Team India.

The memorabilia that will up for sale, on behalf of Ntini, includes shirts from Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. Then there are more. 8220;I have got a shirt from Tendulkar, a shirt from Steve Waugh, one from Brian Lara, and Sehwag from the world XI game in Australia after the tsunami. I have got quite a few things, and that8217;s great,8221; said Ntini.

Having qualified for the benefit after topping 10 years for South Africa, Ntini said, 8220;This is all a dream come true for me. I8217;d like to give something back to the Black community. Earlier, most of the black kids used to play football, now more and more of them play cricket. I wouldn8217;t want to give lectures, I would like to play well, get wickets and motivate them.8221; Besides proceeds from sale of memorabilia, the benefit year includes two matches involving international players, a celebrity golf event and a gala dinner. But first, Ntini knows, there8217;s a Test series to be won.
