Hyderabad, Aug 31: Studying the shifting wind conditions quite admirably on a gloomy day, Naval Sailing Club won the inaugural laser team championship defeating EME Sailing Association A in the final race trial of the BPL-sponsored National regatta championships at Hussain Sagar on Tuesday.With experienced sailors like Ashim Mongia, R Mahesh and Naresh Yadav in their ranks, NSC led from the start. While Yadav snatched the lead, Mahesh and Mongia kept the others at bay. The NSC sailors claimed the first three places to login six points while the EMESA A sailors took the fourth, fifth and sixth spots to end up with 15 points.Arjun Pradipak's protest against Mahesh of NSC in yesterday's race was turned down, thereby enabling the NSC to qualify for the final from Group `A'.
