MOGA, Dec 27: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal though refusing to enter any controversy regarding the outcome of yesterdays8217;s Fatehgarh Sahib Jor Mela conference where he shared the stage with SGPC Chief Gurcharan Singh Tohra, made it clear that there was absolutely no question of instability or any threat to the party unity due to infighting between members.

He made this assertion while talking to a reporter at Amar Ashram, Faridkot where he had come to attend a social function.

The Chief Minister hinted at cabinet expansion likely to take place shortly, at the appropriate time but refused to divulge the number of new minister to be inducted. He denied any proposal of reduction in the size of the present cabinet, as was reported by the Punjab Finance Minister Captain Kanwaljit Singh. He also denied the presence of any financial crisis in the state.

Replying to allegations of corruption levelled against the Punjab SAD-BJP government by the Congress president Captain Amrinder Singh, the Chief Minister, describing the allegations as flimsy, said that if the Congress president had any proof to support his charges, he should approach the Lok Pal. He disclosed that his party workers were going to serve legal notices to the vice-president Punjab Congress Jagmeet Singh Brar who had also levelled false charges of corruption against the party.
