"No RSS support for Kalmadi"

February 9: Independent candidate Avinash Dharmadhikari has claimed that Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) has not extended its support to Pune Vikas Aghadi candidate Suresh Kalmadi.

In a press statement issued here today, Dharmadhikari said the issue of RSS extending its support to any politician does not arise since RSS, which is a cultural organisation, never participates in politcs.

Dharmadhikari said Kalmadi might have gone to the RSS headquarters to seek the blessings of RSS and adds that RSS leaders might have talked to him as a matter of courtesy.
